Itinerary

Welcome to Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the local tour guide and transfer to downtown. Check in your hotel. Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus Đồng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food.

Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Around 08:00 - 08:30, Pick up at your hotel (join tours will free pick up all points in Hoan Kiem, Hanoi). Then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 - the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. We then continue on to the Quan Thanh Temple (Taoist - dating from the Ly Dynasty) and the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on the West lake (One of the oldest pagoda in Vietnam). Then visit Bat Trang pottery village (apply on Mon, Wed & Fri). Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch we’ll proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum (apply on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat), the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. We’ll also see Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070. We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters, and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. For the last part of the tour we’ll journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

Around 8.00 A.M you will be picked-up from your hotel in Hanoi. Depart to Halong Bay. (11h 30) arrival Halong. Lunch on boat and then take a Boat trip (about 4 hours), our boat will bring us to visit Paradise Grotto, Kissing Chicken Rock, Fisherman Village, enjoy the extraordinary landscapes of Halong Bay with nearly 3000 small islands and fantastic types of limestone. (17h 00) back to Hanoi. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

6.30 – 7.00: Pick up from your hotel, get on big bus and depart for Sapa. 9.30: Follow the highway to Lao Cai city with the first comfort break 11.00: Second comfort break at Lao Cai city before approaching Sapa 13.00: Arrive Sapa Town with colorful traditional costumes of H’mong, Dzao, Tay ethnic People. Welcome drink and itinerary briefing. Enjoy the lunch with local Vietnamese dishes, check-in procedures. 14.30: A short drive to the gate of Cat Cat Village which is home of Black H’mong ethnic people and is located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a Hydraulic Power Station; stop for photo with bridge and waterfall then you will walk uphill for bus to pick up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon.

7.00 – 7.45: Have breakfast at hotel and prepare light pack for trekking 8.00: A short drive to Y Linh Ho then trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain after that heading to Ta Van village - home of Dzay ethnic people. Trekking distance is about 9 kms and it lasts for 3.5 hours 11.30: Bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge to Sapa. 12.00 – 15.00: Have a shower at hotel, check out and have lunch and time at leisure on your own. 15.00: Meet all group members at hotel to get ready for Hanoi. 15.15: Get on bus to go back to Hanoi with two comfort breaks. 21.15: We say goodbye to you at your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi
